Now I can finally say that I have done that and been there (maybe not the whole rim…) but I got to see some amazing things today. And was in such awe the whole time.

This was a personal goal for my husband and I. We had been talking about traveling more. That this year would be the year. We didn’t travel as much as we planned, but we get to end the year on an amazing start to a mini road trip back home to Arizona.

My husband is from Tucson, AZ and has never been to the Grand Canyons. He would always be asked if he had been….Well, now he can finally say he has!

The drive down there from LA wasn’t too bad. We left on a Saturday afternoon and got into the area late that night. Youtube’d a lot of video’s of the Grand Canyon and how we should go about it the next day.
When we got to the south rim the next morning we stopped at almost all the stops from the visitor center to the Abyss. Which we read somewhere that the Abyss had the best views…nope…wasn’t the best. At least for us it wasn’t. We liked the Geology Museum area the most. Our little secret.
It was just so amazing. Really was. Kept saying “wow” at everything.
Can’t wait to go back when its warmer and possibly hike down. This time around the snow on the ground was beautiful and holiday like, but it didnt mesh well with my chucks.
Next time, next time we will climb down you!
