Everest’s Nursery is Almost Done

EverestNurseryFRIEDIA

It has been a process and I don’t know if it will ever become the “pinterest dream room” that I think of…but its a working progress. Since my newborn is still 2 months and sleeping in our room.. ehem our bed. We haven’t used the nursery for sleeping reasons BUT we are in there a lot! We change him, play with him, rock him all in that tiny room! I made a quick video of a tour of his “adventure/woodland theme” room.

32 Week Bumpdate and My Baby Shower

For my baby shower I did go back and forth with idea’s. My husband is a huge Super Hero’s fan so I thought of doing that..BUT then I thought the older my son gets, I know at one point he is going to want to have a “superhero” themed birthday. Then I thought to go all pastell color and soft baby like….BUT then I thought I want to have my son to be an adventurous one! So when I found out the “woodland theme” I really liked it, BUT then again I didn’t want to go full force “Forest Man” vibe lol
I added a few “cute” twists to it all but still keeping it boy’ish, fun and “adventurous”!
Here is the theme board I had made for myself from different pinterest photos I had found online.

I drew a little sketch of what I wanted the main food table to look like:

Here are some of the games I found to play. Wanted to stay away from the chocolate in the diaper game LOL
Didn’t want to gross anyone out!

Games
Draw a baby game:
participants are given pencil and paper plate, they must put the plate on top of their head and draw a baby. mom to be chooses the best drawing and the winner gets a prize
Clothespin Game:
Give all guests 2-3 clothespin and they are not allowed to say “baby”, my name and husbands name.
Whomever has the most at the end of the day wins
 Draw a book (activity):
Have guests pull out an alphabet and then have them draw something that starts with that letter. Later on I will bind it and make it into a book for the baby.
Name that Baby Animal Game:
(printout list) A list of animals and guests have to write what the babies are called. Like “Cat” is “kitten” etc
Guys could do the:
Drink out of a bottle game. Add juice in there and whom ever can drink the fastest
Had these games on the list but never got the time to do them:
How Big is the belly:
Have twine or yarn and have people cut to guess how big it is.
They can write their name on washi tape and tape to the end.
Guess the due date:
Have a calendar and write when I am due, but guests can go in and take a guess on when they think the baby will actually arrive
Game for Guys:
Guys Blindfolded put the diaper on the baby game.

As for favors:Like on my theme board I made little packets of s’mores for everyone to take home and printed out a cute tag to add on the bag. “Sending Home Smore Love”

Hope these helped you in some way! And good luck with your babyshower!!
